Raymond Walker Harris

Raymond W. Harris, age 81 of Dryden, NY passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Beechtree Care Center following a brief illness.
Born May 16, 1937 in Marathon, NY he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Margaret Sherwood Harris. He was graduated from Marathon High School and had been employed at the Avian Diseases Research Laboratory at Cornell University prior to his retirement.
Predeceased by his son, Mark Harris; sister, Nancy Sullivan; brother, Eric Harris; sister in law, Mary Harris and brother in law, Robert Witty; Ray is survived by his wife, Rita Witty Harris; his son, Brent Harris; sister, Sharon Davis; brothers, Roger Harris an Scott Harris; two granddaughters; Carl and Rula Summers, Philip and Lynda Davern, Charles and Deborah Witty, Nancy Witty and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-3 pm on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Perkins Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 3 pm with Rev. Matthew Binkewicz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Green Hills Cemetery, c/o Darlene Clauson, 432 Ferguson Rd., Freeville, NY 13068.
