RAYMOND C. McKANE,
age 75, of Bird Cemetery Road, Locke, NY died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital. Ray was born November 17, 1928 at Locke, NY a son of the late John and Florence Jacobs McKane. Ray was a long time area resident who retired from the building and grounds department of Cornell University. Previously he had been employed by the Town of Groton.
Survivors include his children, Alicia McKane, Raymond J. McKane of Ithaca, Tammy Abbey of Ithaca and Michael daSilva of Dryden, NY; his siblings, Ronald McKane of Etna, NY; Arlene Goss of Groton, NY, Leland McKane of Genoa, NY, Richard (Nancy) McKane of King Ferry, NY, James (Lois) McKane of Lansing and Edward (Charlene) McKane of Groton; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, July 23, 2004 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Neno officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ithaca. Friends are invited to call from 12 to 2 PM Friday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY. Those wishing may make a memorial gift to a charity of their choice.
