Raymond A. Rinker, age 87, of Richford, NY died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Born October 21, 1922 in Ithaca, NY, Ray was a son of the late Ray O. and Lora E. Dann Rinker. Ray served in the US Army during World War II and retired from IBM. A member of the Glenn A. Warner Post #1371 VFW of Owego, he also was an avid amateur radio enthusiast and wrote and played Bluegrass music.

Ray is survived by his wife, Sophie Casper Rinker of Richford; his daughter, Carol A. Ewing of KY; two granddaughters, Heather and April Ewing; and two great granddaughters, Brooklyn and Kaylee. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Carl and Richard Rinker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, April 5, 2010 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. David Nicholls officiating. There are no calling hours. Burial with military honors will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
