REINHARD A. PAKUSCH, age 75, of 64 East Main St., Dryden, NY died Tuesday, January 23, 2006 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center

after a lengthy illness. Reinhard was born November 25, 1931 in Germany a son of the late Paul and Herta Pakusch. He immigrated to the United States and was naturalized as a US Citizen shortly after being inducted into the Merchant Marine in 1955. After returning from service in Africa he settled in Rochester, NY and was employed at General Motors, retiring in 1994 and relocated to Dryden. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing the accordion.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Wunsch Pakusch of Dryden; his

children, Paul (Mary) Pakusch of Rochester, Nancy (Rick) Kessler of Rochester and Jeannie (Paul) Hebert of Hilton, NY; eight grandchildren; stepchildren, Sandra Kitchel of Live Oak, FL, Carol Badman of McLean, Cindy (Tom) Miller of Dryden, John (Deb) Davis of Locke and Valerie (Stephen) Logsdon in Texas; a sister-in-law, Gerda Pakusch and a brother-in-law, Fritz Schwank both in Rochester; a sister, Brunhilda Kopeitz in Germany; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers and one sister and his first wife, Dorothy Wandersee Pakusch.

Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Rev. David C. Robinson will officiate. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorials are directed to the SPCA of Tompkins County, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850 or the Dryden Kitchen Cupboard, P. O. Box 42, Dryden, NY 13053-0042.
