Renate Katharina (Picard) Willsey

Renate Katharina Weber Willsey, age 82 of Freeville, NY passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Crown Park Center  in Cortland, NY.

Born September 1, 1938 in Steinheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ilma Weiss Picard and wife of the late Richard Weber who passed away in 1997 and the late Gordon Willsey who passed away in 2020.Renate had been employed with Building Care at Cornell University prior to her retirement.

She is survived by daughters, Gloria I. (Mike) DeLavern of McLean, NY, Diane A. (Terry) Crane of Watkins Glen, NY and Roberta (Gordon) Drake of Enfield, NY; son Jeff (Lisa) Weber of Ithaca, NY; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; her brother, Klaus D. Picard in Steinheim, Germany and nieces and nephews.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, there is no visitation planned.  A Memorial will be scheduled at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of CNY, 441 West Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY  13204.
