RICHARD Wm. LOBDELL, age 63, of West Dryden Road, Freeville, NY passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 at his residence after a brief illness. “Dick” was born February 14, 1948 in Ithaca, NY, a son of Charlotte Viola Morgan Lobdell of Ithaca and the late Richard Lobdell. On February 12, 1966 he was married to the former Doris Mowers in Dryden. Dick was the owner of R.W. Lobdell Construction and had completed numerous homes and structures in the area. He was a member and Past Chief of the Etna Fire Dept. and enjoyed hunting, stock car racing and casino games, working and spending time with his family.Survivors include his loving wife, Doris Mowers Lobdell at home, his sons, Tom (Tami) Lobdell and Harold “Hack” (Brandy) Lobdell; his daughter, Tammy (John) Rochford all of Freeville; grandchildren, Tommy, Terry and Ty Lobdell, Sean and Cassandra Ponton, Zachary and Mackenzie Rochford, Morgan, Amber, Tiffany and Harold Lobdell, Jr.; siblings, Robert Lee Lobdell of Freeville and Jerry Allen Lobdell of Ithaca; aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Lobdell, a brother, William Douglas Lobdell and grandchildren, Richard and Tyler Lobdell.Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Mr. Steve Lawrence officiating.
