Richard Robert Lundy

Richard R. Lundy, age 66, of Ithaca, NY passed away, after a long fought battle with cancer, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his children and sisters.
Born September 11, 1952 in Ithaca, NY he was the son of Robert Lundy and the late Mary Tompkins Lundy and husband of the late Sandy Lundy who died in 2012. Rick was a tractor trailer driver for most of his life and was a NY Giants and NY Yankees fan. He loved his family especially his grandkids.
Rick is survived by his son, Brian Lundy (Jessica) of Ithaca, NY; daughters, Krista Scammell (Pete Parks) of Freeville, NY and Katee Sims (Ernie) of Lansing; grandchildren, Sara Lundy, Kathryn Scammell, Bobby Lundy, Britt Scammell, Rylee Sims, Derek Bartos, Chris Lundy, Natalee Sims, Ilene Bartos, Emily Parks, Miley Bartos, Paige Parks, Henlee Sims and Karlee Sims; great grandson, Eli Newton; sisters, Kathy Kilts and Jan Jacoby; brother, Dan Lundy; close friends, Herb (Pat)Forbes, Gene (Judy) Orman and Gene (Connie) Savon. In addition to his mother and wife, Rick was predeceased by his canine companion, Lilly.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospicare for all they did for Rick, especially his beloved nurse, Paula Waltz.
Friends may call at Perkins Funeral Home, Dryden, NY from 10-11 am Monday, September 24, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 11 am with Rev. Edie Reagan officiating.
