Richard Paul Seeley

RICHARD PAUL SEELEY, Sr., age 78, of 99 Ridge Road, Lansing, NY passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at home after a lengthy illness. Richard was born October 20, 1938 in Ithaca, a son of the late Meeker and Frances Mooney Seeley. He was graduated from Ithaca High School and entered the US Navy in 1955 serving until 1959. On May 6, 1961 he was married to the former Ellamae Louise Milligan in the original Asbury Church on Triphammer Road. Dick was employed for 40 years as a machinist for Morse Chain/Borg-Warner retiring in 2001. He was the Union Shop Steward for many years. "Dick" enjoyed fishing, woodworking and truck pulling with his son and daughter. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ellamae L. Seeley at home; his son, Richard P. (Catherine) Seeley of Lansing; his daughter, Tammee Seeley of Freeville; two grandsons, Holden and Robert Horan of Freeville and his sister, Florence Parks as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Perkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Memorials are directed to Hospicare, 172 E.
