Richard O. Wagner

Richard O. Wagner, born on June 10th 1949, in Bath NY, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday December 17th, 2024 at the Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.

Richard loved working with his hands; most of all in his garage to do some woodworking. He had a great knack for building gorgeous plant stands that he stained by hand and would donate to many friends and family members. His biggest pride and joy was his 1986 Chrysler Labaron that he loved taking out for top-down cruises during the summer. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the Cortland Country Music Park to listen to live bands and enjoy the night with friends.

Richard faced many difficulties with health problems dating years back which makes his passing, although expected, no less easier.

Richard was predeceased by his wife, Cheryl Wagner, in 2019, whom he declared as the love of his life. Richard is survived by two siblings, and four children along with several grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, December 20th with close friends and family.
