Richard Joseph Whiting

RICHARD J. WHITING, age 74 of South Street, Dryden, NY, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at home after a brief illness. Dick was born January 17, 1943 in Ithaca a son of the late Frederick and Barbara Woolever Whiting. He attended school in Ithaca and was employed for many years at the Tompkins Community Hospital as an orderly. On June 14, 1969 Dick was married to the former Linda J. Carpenter who survives. Dick enjoyed playing the organ, NASCAR, traveling and baseball. He was a member of the Dryden Senior Citizens. He will be missed by his loving family.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Whiting; a daughter, Karen (R. Douglas) Mulnix and a grandson, Shawn Miner; a sister-in-law, Gail (Carl) Ross of Tignall, GA and two nephews and many cousins.
