Rita M. Nagy,
age 89, of Myers, NY passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Cortland Care Center.Born November 9, 1922 in Auburn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Maud Seegar Watrous and wife of the late Frank “Fritz” Nagy who died in 1983.
She had been employed by the International Salt Co. in Myers, NY and National Cash Register in Ithaca before going to the Tompkins County Department of Social Services, retiring in 1983.
Rita is survived by her son, Francis S. “Butch” Nagy of Groton, NY; daughter, Bonnie Kline of Anchorage, Alaska; granddaughter, Kelly Nagy of Brooklyn, NY and Grandson, Michael Nagy of Cornelius, NC; great granddaughter, Karen Nagy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter in law, Karen Nagy and siblings, Roue, Bertha, Elizabeth, Marian and Robert.
Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, April 9, 2012 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Sam Neno officiating. Burial will follow at Ludlowville Pine Grove Cemetery, Lansing, NY. Friends may call from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
