Robert Martin Beck

Robert Martin Beck, 82 of Freeville, NY passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at Cayuga Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born July 17, 1941 in Cortland, NY he was one of four sons of the late Martin and Lorraine Leach Beck. He had his Master’s degree from Cornell in Neuro-Biology & Behavior. A Conservationist at heart, he was very active and a founding member of the Finger Lakes Land Trust. He also owned his own business, Closet Pro, installing closets around the area among many other endeavors.

A wonderful, loving husband, father, brother and uncle, he will be dearly missed by his wife, Gwen L. K. Beck of Freeville; two sons, Nathan Robert Beck of Ithaca and Gordon Paul Beck of NYC; his three remaining brothers, Ronald (Carol) Beck of Dryden, Roger Beck of Ithaca and Richard Beck of Baggs, WY; nieces and nephews, Randall, Russell and Ronald Jr, Christina Beck and Brittany Beck- Wickham.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2:30PM at the Dryden Lake Pavilion.
