Robert G. Carpenter

ROBERT G. CARPENTER , age 65, of 10 Pleasant View Trailer Park, Dryden, NY passed away Sat. Oct. 23, 2004 after a valiant battle with a brief illness. He was surrounded by his devoted family at the Cortland Memorial Hospital the same place that he was born in On Sept. 8, 1939. His parents were H. Raymond and Bertha Matthews Carpenter. Bob was a member of Neptune Hose Co. No. 1 of Dryden, Inc. and a former member of the Cortland Fire Dept. He was a long time employee of Irving D. Booth, Inc. In Homer, NY. His favorite times were spent with his family especially at Christmas when he was the biggest kid in the family.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara Cortright Carpenter; his children, David, Gail, Robin, Tracy, Kyle and Kelly; a daughter-in-law, Cathy whom he considered a daughter; his treasured grandchildren, Jamie & Jeremy Carpenter, Ann Marie Hogancamp, Christopher Short, Alexandra & Zachary Carpenter and Matthew Bollinger; a beautiful great-granddaughter, Haylee Carpenter; his brother John Carpenter and his sister Sandra Wintermute; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Vern E. Spencer officiating. Burial will be private in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. There are no calling hours.
