He served on the Town of Dryden Zoning Board of Appeals and was involved in many other clubs, organizations and affiliations. A Charter Member, Elder and a Board Member of the Dryden Assembly of God Church, Bob was a community member, husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Carol (Donald “Pete”) Stauffeneker of Inman, SC , Gail Keech of Washington, DC and Shirley (Jerry) Lyon of Freeville; a brother, Howard Keech of Dryden; grandchildren, Shelby (John) Davie, Sonya (Bill) Wilson, Ryan (Sonya) Stauffeneker, Kyle (Stacy) Stauffeneker, Tyler (Janie) Stauffeneker, Jolene Lyon, Benjamin (Stacey) Landowski, Gabriel Landowski and Andrew Landowski; great-grandchildren, Jack, Kylie, Skylar, Garrett. Kaitlyn, Kaylee, Chase, Caleb, Jordan, Colton, Troy, Myles, Korbin and Lucas. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Marion Keech. Funeral services will be at 4 PM Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at the Dryden Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tom Gordon officiating. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. ROBERT C. KEECH
, age 86, of 8 Knollwood Drive, Freeville, NY passed away Tuesday, Jan 5, 2010 at his residence after a brief illness. Bob was born Sept. 10, 1923 in Dryden a son of the late Charles and Ida Mix Keech. Bob was graduated from Dryden High School in 1941 and served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. Bob was a building contractor and the owner of Keech Construction. On Nov. 28, 1942 he was married to the former Jean Louise Finnerty who survives. Bob was active in several aviation groups including but not limited to The Civil Air Patrol, the Ithaca Soaring Club and the Experimental Aircraft Assoc.
