ROBERT J. NEMECEK, age 69, of 580 Pelican Bay Drive, Daytona Beach, FL, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006 at East Liverpool City Hospital, East Liverpool, Ohio after becoming ill while traveling. "Bob" was born in Lansing, NY a son of the late Thomas and Mary Russell Nemecek and served in the US Army in Germany prior to becoming an airline Pilot with Mohawk Airlines in Ithaca, NY. His flying career saw the changes from Mohawk to Piedmont to Allegheny and eventually to USAirways. He retired as a

Airline Captain after 38 years of service. Bob and his wife of 19 years, Debra Cendroski Nemecek, have made their retirement home in Daytona Beach. A humble and self made man, Bob raised his own children to value independence and to be self-sufficient. He was a passionate golfer and enjoyed his membership in the Pelican Bay Country Club and the Retired Pilots Association. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Darleen and Ileen Nemecek, a son Robert Anthony Nemecek, two brothers, Donald J. Nemecek and Thomas J. Nemecek, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife, Debbie, his son, Martin (Carla) Nemecek of Utica, his daughter, Mari (Ben) Stallings of Indianapolis, IN; his sister, Arlene (George) Merchant of Willett, NY; his brother, Martin J. Nemecek of Fonda; his grandchildren, Stefan Nemecek, Raymond, Andrew, Kyle, Anthony and Alexandra Stallings; nieces; nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to call 12 to 2 PM Friday, September 8th, 2006 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY where Funeral services will be at 2 PM Friday with Rev. Alan Kinney officiating. Members of the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home Ritual Team are asked to attend the funeral service. Interment will be private. Sympathy
