Robert Walter (Bob) Porter

Robert W. Porter, age 86 of Freeville, NY passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.
Born September 17, 1935 in Cortland, NY he was the son of the late Earl W. and Lida J. Mudge Porter and husband of the late Patricia Keller Porter who passed away in 2014. Bob was a US Army veteran, serving from 1953-1956 and enjoyed working as a farmer his entire life.

Bob is survived by his daughter and son in law, Faith and Andy Smith of Dryden, NY; daughter, Gail Porter of Bassett, VA; grandchildren, Ian Petrie, Joshua Petrie, Caleb Smith, AbiGail Smith and Alicia (Matt) Henderson; his brother, Earl (Pearl) Porter of W. Palm Beach, FL; special friend, Connie Eaton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Bob is predeceased by a sister, Marie Howden.

Services and interment in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY will be held later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice.
