Robert Irving Scott

Robert Irving Scott, 84, of Dryden, New York left this life to join his Lord and Savior on October 11, 2015 after a brief illness.
Bob was born in Ithaca, New York on June 10, 1931. He served the Ithaca community for 40 years as a mail carrier for the Post Office, retiring in April 2000. Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling, taking pictures and journaling his thoughts. Bob was a generous man, supporting his church and a variety of charities. He was especially concerned for the children of the world who were impacted by natural disasters or poverty.
Bob is survived by his niece, Tina Scott of Cape Coral, FL; his nephew, Leslie Scott III (Scotty) of Tampa, FL; their families; and many close friends that he considered as family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Scott and Grace Sweet Scott of Ithaca; as well as his brother, Leslie Scott II of Cape Coral, FL.
Friends are invited to celebrate Bob's life at a Memorial Service that will be held at 3:00 PM on October 25, 2015 at Covenant Love Community Church, 1768 Dryden Road, Freeville, NY 13068.
