Robert L. West

Robert L. West, 74, of Dryden, NY passed away early Saturday morning, April 10, 2021 at the Groton Community Health Care Center with his wife and daughter by his side.

Bobby was born September, 20, 1946 to Marie Smith and Robert West. He was a 1965 graduate of Ithaca High School.  Bobby was a member of IBEW Local 241 until his retirement. Then he went on to work at Ithaca Agway for several years. In the 1960’s and 70’s he was a drummer with many local bands.

Bobby leaves behind his devoted wife of 53 years, Diana; his daughter, Kori (Joseph) Mack and the greatest joys of his life, his grandchildren, Joey Mack (age 20) and Kendall Mack (age 15); his brother in law, Jim (Melanie) Solomon and sister in law, Judy McDermott and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bobby will not only be missed by his family, but by his many friends, especially his Dunkin Coffee group. We will miss him so much. Rest in peace my love.

Per Bobby’s wishes, there will be no calling hours, but a celebration of his life for friends and family will be held at a later date. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family with these wishes.
