ITHACA - Robert J. Wilson, Jr., age 54, of Cypress Court, Ithaca, NY passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Born July 6, 1962 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Shirley J. Houseknect Wilson. Bobby was a chef for various restaurants in the Ithaca and Elmira areas. He was an honest, clean, straight forward person who was brilliant and crazy at the same time. He loved to have fun. He loved animals, music, playing guitar, fireworks and especially loved his food. Bobby had a deep understanding of life. There was always a method to his madness and remember "Everything is temporary."
Robert is survived by his children, Myah Rhianna Redder of Wellsburg, NY, Perri Redder, Martin Redder and Nathan Redder all of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Codi Mae Lundfelt, Rowan Lundfelt and Calvin Redder; sister, Annette L. Wilson of Newfield, NY; cousins, Caryn Lynch of Florida, Kimberly Wilson of Syracuse, NY and Ada Jean Wilson of Ithaca, NY; nieces, Jessica Sawatzky, Jordan Sawatzky; nephew, Cory J. Williams all of Ithaca.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held, but his children will be sending him off with a celebration he would deem worthy. In lieu of flowers, shoot off fireworks in his memory.
