Rodney Lawrence Doubleday

Rodney Lawrence (Larry) Doubleday, 80, of McLean, NY died July 26, 2018.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Esther Doubleday, daughters, Laurie (Danny) Johnson, Melody Doubleday, Dawn Doubleday, and Melissa (Erik) Placides. Grandchildren are Michaela Jackson, Rachellyn and Isabella Placides. Also survived by one sister Lanea Personius.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Lawrence Doubleday and Ethel G. Stanton Doubleday.

Formally employed at Cargill Salt Mine, Albany International, and Homer Library. Volunteered at local Food Banks, and worked with the Royal Ranger program at church.

A celebration of life will be on Thursday, August 2 at 7:00PM at Groton Assembly of God 701 South Main St., Groton, NY, by Pastor Sam Neno. Family will be present to receive friends before the service from 6:00PM - 7:00PM.
