ROGER W. GLEASON, age 87, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center with his loving wife at his side. Born Jan. 21, 1926 to Edmund and Rose Howe Gleason, Roger was graduated from Groton High School in 1944 as class salutatorian and attended Cornell University. He was a crop and chicken farmer in Groton for over 60 years and retired only because of a 14 year experience with Alzheimer’s disease. In 1958 he was the first President of the re-organized Tompkins County Farm Bureau additionally Roger had been a member of the Groton Masonic Lodge since 1973 and a Grange Member since 1948. Roger volunteered at CRT, The Country Music Park and helped with Food $en$e once a month.
