ROGER W. LOMBER, age 76, of Main St., Etna, NY passed away while on a hunting trip in Lewis County, NY. Roger was born December 26, 1928 at New Breman, NY a son of the late Albert and Mary Burkhard Lomber. His wife, Darline A. Voss Lomber, passed away April 22, 1998. He served in the US Navy from 1949 to 1953. Roger retired from employment at the Seneca Army Depot as a refrigeration technician. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Church. Roger enjoyed to the fullest being a member of the Double B Hunting club and was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist.

Survivors include a daughter, Lana M. Lomber of Candor, NY and three sons, Andrew L. Lomber of Endicott, Patrick (Tammy) Lomber of McLean and Kenneth (Linda) Lomber of Groton, NY; his siblings, Anna Lomber Horeth of Watertown, Albert (Arlene) Lomber of Brownville, NY and Paul Lomber of Watertown, NY; grandchildren, Shane M. (Jessica) Lomber of Endicott, Casey L. Lomber of Reno, NV, Cameron M. Lomber of Vestal, Alicia D. Lomber of Endicott, Ryan P. Lomber and Trevor M. Lomber of McLean and a great granddaughter, Hailey L. Lomber of Endicott. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Kovacs; and brothers, Charles and Walter Lomber.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Burial will be private in New Breman Cemetery. Friends wishing to remember Roger are asked to consider a memorial, in lieu of flowers, to the American Lung Association of Northern NY, 3 Winners Circle, Suite 300, Albany, NY 12205.
