Rosemary Banas

Rosemary “Rose” Banas, 67, of Cortland, NY passed away on July 3, 2022.  She was born on September 18, 1954 to Glenn and Louise Carlisle. Besides her parents, Rosemary was predeceased by her son, Cody Banas.  Rose is survived by her husband, John Banas; children, Susan Brown and Daniel Banas; brother, Ross (Paulette) Carlisle; sister, Milly Earl; grandchildren, Heather Marie Carr and Joshua Maverick Brown; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose was the best mother, foster mother, grandma, sister and wife of 41 years. She was known to many throughout Tompkins and Cortland counties, and beyond, as a long-time seller at the Ithaca Farmers Market (Pleasant Valley Gardens, booth 16) and of Avon products. Rosemary will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.  Friends are invited to visit at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
