ROSETTA LEE JURSICK,
age 91, formerly of Midline Road, Slaterville, NY passed away Saturday, December 8th, 2007 at the Groton Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. Rose was born in Kittsmiller, MD a daughter of the late Oliver and Orpha Fortney Lee. Rose was married to Stanley J. Jursick on Sept. 3rd, 1938. Mr. Jursick passed away June 27, 1975. In addition to being a partner in a dairy farm with her husband, she was employed for many years as the office manager at the Ithaca office of the US Dept. Of Agriculture. Later she worked at National Auto Weld and Crispell Automotive becoming fully retired in 1975.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, S. John and Judith Jursick of Slaterville; her grandchildren, Marcy Jursick, Carolee (Larry) West and Stacy (Lisa) Jursick; her great-grandchildren, Mallary (Robert) Riggs, Wyatt Jursick-Crispell, Megan Jursick, Rachel Jursick and Hope Jursick; a great great-grandson, Zachary Daniel Riggs; a brother, Elwood Lee of Newark Valley; Michael Crispell; nieces and nephews. She has been preceded in death by her brother, Glen Lee and her sisters, Virginia Kobasa, Twyla Hart and Mildred Lee.
