Russell Rexford Hotelling

Russell Rexford Hotelling, 91, of Ithaca, NY passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. He was born December 19, 1931 in Fox Township, PA. He was a son of the late Kenneth Reginald and Flossie Jane Brown Hotelling. On August 25, 1956 he married Helen May. She predeceased him on October 26, 2017.  Russell was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the US Navy from 1950-1954. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of Leonard T. Spaulding Post 1134 American Legion of Dryden.

Russell is survived by his son, Daniel Russell (Tracy) Hotelling of Forest, VA; his daughter, Resa May (Vincent) Monticello of Ithaca, NY; grandchildren, Vincent P. Monticello Jr,(Britnee) Rachael May Monticello, Darek Hotelling, Chad Hotelling and Katelyn Mitchell (Luke); Great Granddaughter Ava; sister, Eunice Crumb; brother Lawrence, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Bradley Boyd Hotelling in 2019 and by brothers, Eugene, and Kenneth Jr.

Friends are invited to call from 10 to 11AM  Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main Street, Dryden NY. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors will follow at 11AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be at the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Romulus NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell’s memory may be made to the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Attn: William R. Yale USN Ret., 1 DiPronio Drive, Waterloo, NY 13165.
