Ruth Bailey
, age 79, of Creamery Hills, Richford, NY and formerly of Freeville, NY passed away, Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Beechtree Care Center.Born September 21, 1933 in Elmira, NY, she was a daughter of the late Mason and Nina Dunbar Morey and wife of the late John Lewis Bailey who died in 2007.
Ruth worked a brief time at Smith Corona and for many years provided day care out of her home. Her family was first and foremost, caring for children and doing for others gave her greatest pleasure.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Robin (Jeffrey) Perry of Groton, NY, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Grover of Spencer, NY; grandchildren, Cortney (Lindsey) Roberts, Jeffrey Perry, Brittany Perry, Jordan (Raeanna) Roberts and Hayden Grover; great grandson, Owen Roberts; sisters, Virginia Bailey of Freeville, NY; brother, Mason Morey, Jr. of Cortland, NY and several sisters and brothers in law; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. Bruce Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6-8 pm and again Wednesday, from 12 noon until the service time of 1 pm.
