Ryan T. Mcgory

RYAN THOMAS McGORY, age 22 , of 14 Whip-poor-will Lane, Brooktondale, NY passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at home. Ryan was born Sept. 24, 1986 in Ithaca a son of Jack McGory and Diana Palumbo. He was graduated from Ithaca High School in 2005 and has been a life area resident. At Ithaca High he excelled in football and lacrosse. He enjoyed working on a Christmas tree farm in Rhinebeck, NY. He was in his element when out doors and working. He relished in his efforts with the Town of Ithaca, Parks Dept. Ryan was extremely proud of and loving to his grandfather, the late Thomas McGory. He had a passion for watching and discussing football with his best friend and brother, Jason. Ryan was a popular individual who was loved by his parents and family, other adults and his contemporaries alike.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Jack McGory and Diana Palumbo; his brother, Jason Michael McGory; his grandmother, Carolyn McGory of Ithaca; aunts; uncles and cousins.

A celebration Ryan’s life will be held at the Perkins Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 22 at 10 AM with Rev. James Geuder officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Ryan’s family will be present to receive their friends on Sunday, Dec. 21st from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
