SANDRA L. LUNDY, age 65, of 16 Schwan Drive, Ithaca, NY passed away Wednesday, June 6 at the Cayuga Medical center at Ithaca after becoming ill at home. Sandy was born Jan. 13, 1947 in Cortland, NY and was graduated from Homer High School. On May 7, 1976 she was married to Richard “Rick” Lundy who survives. Sandy had been employed at Challenge Industries as an Administrative Assistant and was currently working at Family and Children’s Service where she truly loved the work and friends.
A 1994 graduate of TC3, Sandy loved her job, her family, reading, sewing and helping others including doing housekeeping for dear friends.
Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Rick Lundy at home; her children, Brian (Jessica Cornell) Lundy, Krista (David) Scammell and Katee (Ernest) Sims all of Ithaca; a brother, Jim (Vera) Graves of Ontario; a daughter-in-law, Tedi Beebe of Ithaca; grandchildren, Sara Lundy, Kathryn Scammell, Robert Lundy, Brittian Scammell, Rylee Sims, Christopher Lundy, Natalee Sims, Derek, Ilene and Miley Bartos; many extended family members; aunts; uncles; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 7 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Sivers officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Sandy’s family will greet their friends at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden after the memorial service.
