Scott R. Wiiki

Scott R. Wiiki, age 28, of Rochester, NY formerly of West Dryden, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital after becoming ill at home.
Born November 10, 1988 in Cortland, NY he was the son of Ralph and Peggi Hansen Wiiki. Scott worked at the Ithaca Country Club as an assistant in training when he was in eleventh and twelfth grade at Dryden High School. At the same time he also delivered pizza for Pizza Hut and Northeast Pizza and Beer Company. Scott pursued his career, the top of his class, at Rutgers University with degrees in Professional Golf and Turf Management, Agronomy and Turf Grass Science. After graduation he started working, as assistant to the supervisor, for Fairview Country Club in Greenwich, CT. Moving closer to home, he found a job in Rochester, NY at Mill Creek Golf Club. In November, Scott found his dream job and was currently employed at Ridgemont Country Club as head superintendant of grounds.
In addition to his parents, of Freeville, NY, Scott is survived by his fiancé and the love of his life, Tessa Jill Raphael of Rochester, NY; his four legged "son", Smokey; sister, Dallas Wiiki of Freeville, NY; grandmothers, Florence Wiiki of Freeville, NY; Margaret Hansen Coe of Dryden, NY and Jean Hansen of Lapeer, NY; several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Scott was predeceased by grandfathers, Roy E. Wiiki, Donald Hansen and Harold Coe.
Friends are invited to call from 10 am - 12 pm followed by a Celebration of Scott's Life at 12 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. A reception will follow at Dryden Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers, because of Scott's great love of animals, memorial contributions may be made to your local SPCA.
