Seymour Arnold

SEYMOUR ARNOLD, age 76, of Crompound Rd., Peekskill, NY died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Arnold was born Feb. 10, 1928 at Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Charles and Rose Rosenwasser Arnold. He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1948. His wife of 52 years, Margaret Marsh Arnold, died August 23, 2004. Seymour was retired from the Franklin D. Roosevelt VA Hospital where he was a supply technician. Previously he and Mrs. Arnold owned a restaurant and a bookstore in Westchester County, NY. He had relocated to Cortland this summer to be near his son and daughter-in-law.

Survivors include his son, David L. (Cathy) Arnold of Dryden; his daughter, Colleen (Vincent) Ursone of Stamford, CT; a brother, Jack (Jo) Arnold of Bakersfield, CA; sisters, Shirley (Robert) Tovar of Glen Cove, NY, Lee Loughlin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Barbara Arnold of the Bronx, NY; seven granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2PM Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 at the Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Rev. David Valyou will officiate. Members of the Dryden Veterans Memorial Home Ritual Team will conduct military honors at the cemetery. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are directed to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, NY 13760. Arrangements are entrusted to the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
