SHIRLEY M. YAEGER, age 91, of 86 North Street, Dryden, NY passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Hospicare Residence after a short illness. Shirley was born December 14, 1923 in Clallam, WA, a daughter of the late Harrison and Mae Moore Lewis. In her early years she resided in the Highland Mills area where she met Theodore A. Yaeger to whom she was married on May 27, 1944. Ted passed away January 26, 2003. Shirley was employed at the Dryden Central School system as the attendance clerk. She was a former Cub Scout leader, a member of the Dryden United Methodist Church and the Dryden Seniors Citizens. Shirley was very proud of her volunteer efforts with Ugly Quilt group at church.
Survivors include her four sons, Jerry (Carolyn), Thomas (Deborah) of Freeville, Ronald (Susan) of Dryden and Michael (Frances) of Ithaca; grandchildren, Joseph, Melissa, Trevor, Troy, Ian, Matthew, Timothy and Christian; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Olivia, Nancy and Kaitlyn, Max, Aaron, and Elizabeth.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Wheat officiating. Burial will be private.
