Stephen J. Losey, 73, of Anchor Drive, Ithaca, NY passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Hospicare Residence. Born February 7, 1942, in Massena, NY he was the son of the late Stephen and Thelma LaVair Losey. Stephen made his home in Ithaca, NY. He was a hard worker and loving family man and he was especially proud of the time he worked 18 hours a day for 32 days straight at the Ithaca Gun Company.
He was married to Joanne Kent (Peck) for 18 years before they divorced. She sadly passed away July 4, 1998. They had four children together, Tammie, Stephen Jr., Angel, and Ricky. He also had two children, Steve Lawrence and Amanda with Doris Boyden (Turcsik), his companion for 7 and a half years.
Stephen is survived by his sister and best friend, Linda Korbel; brothers Allen and Daniel, and his longtime friend and companion, Linda Jones. Also his five children, Tammie (Jim), Stephen Jr. (Carol), Angel (Joe), Steve Lawrence (Heather), Amanda (Antonio) and his honorary daughter, Mia "Sunshine" (Ken); grandchildren; Ronnie, Tiffany, Kari, Zachary, Katie, Chris, Jake, Camden and Jordyn. In addition, he was predeceased by his son, Ricky and his brothers Gary and Jimmy.
Memorial services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Pastor Michael Corriero officiating. Burial will follow in Halsey Valley Cemetery.
He will always be loved and missed. He will be laid to rest with his son, Ricky.
