SUSAN G. SALCE, age 60, of Route 221, Harford, NY passed away, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Hospicare Residence after a brief illness. Sue was born June 29, 1952 in Cortland, NY a daughter of the late Eva Barned Bennett and Harold Bennett of Vero Beach, FL and was a life area resident.SUSAN G. Sue was born June 29, 1952 in Cortland, NY a daughter of the late Eva Barned Bennett and Harold Bennett of Vero Beach, FL and was a life area resident.
She was a member of the Leonard T. Spaulding, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #1134. She had been employed by The Ithaca Journal, Cornell Cooperative Extension and Old World Bakery. Susan will be greatly missed by her family and a wide circle of friends.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Salce of Cortland; her father, Harold (Wanda) Bennett of Vero Beach, FL; her daughter, Tina (Charles) Batsford of Cortland; her son, Joseph (Judy) Salce of Harford; her sister, Linda Bennett of Vero Beach; a brother, David (Julie) Bennett of Vero Beach; five grandchildren; a special friends, Vivian Harvey of Brooktondale, Brenda Jelley of Cortland as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, June 4 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY.
