Susan T. (Haven) Peterson

Susan T. Peterson, age 71 of McLean, NY passed away Monday, August 1, 2022 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.

Born April 29, 1951 in Syracuse, NY she was the daughter and one of 14 children born to the late Charles and Catherine Bush Haven. Susan was retired from Cornell University. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family playing cards & listening to oldies stations and going to bingo.

Susan is survived by her companion of many years, Doug Converse; her children, James Peterson, Lisa (Patrick) Rogers, Amanda Van Slyke (Shawn) and Joseph Peterson; her former daughter in law, Margie Peterson; grandchildren, Erika & Andrew Peterson, Dylan & Ava Rogers; stepchildren, Paul (Jen) Converse, James Converse and Scott Converse; step grandchildren, Arabella and Alida Converse; siblings, Frances Legnetto, John Haven, Thomas Haven and her sister that she loved spending time with, Gail (Daniel) Rizzo and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Preceded by Elaine Converse, Greyson Rogers, and Brogan Converse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, August 5, 2022 at St. Mary’s Church, Cortland. Burial will follow at McLean Rural Cemetery, McLean, NY. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY.
