SUZANNE F. APPLEGARTH BROWN, age 74, of Waterloo and formerly of Slaterville Springs, NY passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at the Geneva General Hospital after a period of declining health. Suzanne was born May 31, 1940 in Montour Falls, NY, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Alberta Ash Clinton.
Suzanne was graduated from Dryden High School and then served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1960. She was employed as a cook in Umatilla and Tavares, Florida and in Ithaca, NY. She was an avid Yahtzee and Bingo Player and had been a member of the Slaterville Fire Dept. Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Carrie R. (Steve) Emerson of Waterloo, Jack (Robin) Applegarth of Cardor, NY, Carmen Applegarth of Candor; her siblings, Albert (Bonnie) Sautter of Freeville, Verma Sautter-Miles of Russellville, AR; many grand and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Brown; her siblings, Rebecca Reynolds and Sally Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Winkelman officiating. Delayed burial will be in the spring.
