THELMA BIXLER CALL CHAPMAN, age 89, formerly of McLean, McGraw and Etna, NY passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at the Cortland Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cortland, NY. Thelma was born June 11, 1925 in Summerhill, NY a daughter of the late Clayton and Edna Reed Bixler. She was graduated from Moravia High School and worked at Smith Corona, Grant’s Bakery and for the Homer School District. She loved sewing, word searches and jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include two sons, Steven (Linda) Call of Bonham, TX and Kevin Call of Las Vegas, NV; three daughters, Monica (William) Cuthbert of Freeville, Brenda Prentice of McLean and Renae (Tim) Lee of Groton; a daughter-in-law, Donna Call of McLean; a brother, C. Wendell (Mary) Bixler of Avondale, AZ; fourteen grandchildren; several great and great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Chapman; two sons, Allen and Leonard Call and a granddaughter, Natalie Horsley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Pastor David Carter officiating. Burial will be private in McLean Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 12 to 2 PM, Friday, at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. Those wishing to remember Thelma are asked to consider a memorial gift, in lieu of flowers, to the McLean Community Church, P.O. Box 246, McLean, NY 13102.
