TIMOTHY E. GOODBAND
, age 71, of Freeville passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at Crown Center Cortland after a lengthy illness.
Tim was born July 29, 1940 in Ithaca, a son of the late George and Sheila Dedrick Goodband. He was employed for many years at the Holler Farm in Virgil and enjoyed antique steam, iron wheeled tractors and railroad engines. He sang in the Arrowhead Barber Shop Chorus of Painted Post.
Most of all he loved his family.Survivors include his wife of 50 years, the former Joann O’Brien; his children, Timothy Goodband, Jr., Xan (Brian) Chace, Arthur (Tammy) Goodband and Pamela Goodband; eight grandchildren; a brother, Albert Goodband; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Goodband and a brother,
Arthur Goodband.Memorials services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, May 19, at the Community Room, 51 Port Watson St., Cortland. Memorials are directed to the W.B. Strong Vol. Fire Co., Freeville, NY 13068.
