Valerie Lynn Reihl Horrocks

Valerie Lynn Reihl Horrocks, 48, of Marathon, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 4, 1969 in Cortland, NY the daughter of the late Leonard Riehl and Marleen Shepard.

She is survived by her husband Peter Horrocks of Marathon, her loved children; Kurtis Taylor of Texas, Justin Taylor of Texas, her loved step-children; Chelsey Horrocks of Willet, Brandon Horrocks of Marathon, Peter Horrocks Jr., of Marathon, her sister Roxann Carlton (John) of Truxton, several half and step siblings, her niece/best friend; Amber Stevens of Truxton, several beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Valerie was a traveler always following her heart. She was employed at Cornell University for several years as a Vet Tech. She enjoyed being with her animals and helping many people on their journeys through life.

A Celebration of life is being held at the Marathon Legion beginning at 2:00PM on Sunday, February 25, 2018 until 5:00PM. Pastor Archie Smith, will be sharing a short service at 2:30pm.
