Virginia Mae Robinson
, age 92 of Swan Drive, Ithaca, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011 at Cayuga Medical Center.
She was born April 5, 1918 in Watkins Glen, NY, and lived in Montrose, PA and eventually moved to Utica where she lived for 30 years, before returning to Ithaca in 1993. She was employed with a picture framing company in Utica, prior to retiring.
Virginia is survived by her children, Myron “Mike” (Shirley) Sherman, Jr. of Freeville, NY; Josephine (Alfred) Cooke of Elmira, NY; Corr Lynn (Mary) Leonard of New Jersey and Robert Leonard, Jr. of Burlington, VT; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice and Dora of Lakeland, FL. In addition, she was predeceased by her first husband, Myron Sherman, second husband, Robert Leonard and third husband William Robinson. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Charlotte Sherman and brothers, Lynn and Tom.
At her request, there will not be any formal service. She will be interred with her husband in Marcy Cemetery, Utica at the convenience of the family. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
