Wanda Ann Nielsen
age 55, of 8 Anchor Drive, Ithaca, NY passed away Sunday, December 16th, 2007 at her home after a lengthy illness. Wanda was born Feb. 12, 1952 at Watkins Glen, NY a daughter of the late Chester and Hazel Houseworth. Wanda was graduated from Watkins Glen High School and on Feb. 14, 1970 was married to Richard L. Nielsen who survives. She was employed at Morse Chain, Citizens Savings Bank and NYSEG. She enjoyed camping, her dog, Sassy, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Nielsen at home, her son, Terry L. Nielsen of Saratoga, NY; her daughter, Heather L. Nielsen of Syracuse, NY; her grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, Justin, Zachary, Dommiss, Kaitlyn and Marissa; her siblings, Gloria (Robert) Kellogg of Newfield, Chester (Judy) Houseworth of Ithaca, Annette (Walter) Ketter of Candor, Russell (Donna) Houseworth of Schuylerville, NY and Randy (Lee) Houseworth of Saratoga Springs, NY. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. David H. Nicholls officiating. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
