WARREN H. WENTWORTH, age 78, of Clearview Road, King Ferry, NY passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY after a 4 month illness. Warren was born Jan. 15, 1934 in Brockton, MA a son of the late Everett and Gladys Wright Wentworth. He was graduated in 1952 from Stetson High School in Randolph, MA and enlisted in the US Navy, serving from 1953 to 1957. He was assigned to the USS Lake Champlain and various other vessels. After serving in the Navy he was employed at various companies until beginning work at Cape Canaveral for 7 years before working for Sherwood Medical in Deland, FL, retiring in March of 1998. In May of 2003 he was married to the former Marcia Hanford Humphrey who survives. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading history and his summer home at Cayuga Lake. Survivors include his wife, Marcia, of King Ferry, two sisters, Norma Queen of Lansing, Priscilla Longueil of East Bridgewater, MA; two step-sons, A.J. Humphrey of Dryden and Jeffrey (Shannon) Humphrey of Freeville; grandchildren, Kennedy and Owen Humphrey as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
