Willard "Bill" Enders

DRYDEN - Willard "Bill" Earl Enders, age 82 of Lake Road, Dryden, NY passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Bill was born November 18, 1933 in Springville, NY a son of the late William and Luella Francis Enders. In his early 20's, Bill moved to the Dryden area where he met the love of his life, Betty Ann Fitts, who survives. They were married on November 21, 1958 in Sayre, PA and just celebrated 57 years of marriage. Bill retired from Emerson Electric and later Dryden Agway. Bill and Betty Ann spent 12 years in the Florida sunshine during the winter months. He was a 44 year member of the Dryden Fire Department and a driver with Dryden Ambulance for 35 years. Bill enjoyed playing cards, bowling, fishing, hunting, and was an avid golfer. He took great pride in the caring of his lawn. Bill was a sports enthusiast and cheered for the NY Yankees, and Duke and Syracuse Basketball. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, and enjoyed sharing stories with those he held near. Bill will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Betty Ann, Bill is survived by his daughter and son in law, Shelly and Clint Walker of Dryden, NY; his grandson, Tom Walker of Cortland, NY; his brothers, Don (Fran) Enders of Newfield, NY and Roy (Edie) Enders of Fort Myers, FL; as well as several in-laws along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his siblings, Jim, Rita, Ed, Jake and Max.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY with Rev. David C. Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may call from 4 - 7 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
