WILLARD “BUD” HACKETT, age 66, of Daisy Hollow Rd., Dryden, NY died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at University Hospital, Syracuse. Bud was a son of the late Russell and Eloise Jayne Hackett. He served honorably for 3 tours (1963-1969) in Vietnam with the US Army Corps of Engineers. He then served in the US Army Reserves as a Drill Sergeant until retiring in 1995. Bud was employed at Cornell University for more than 28 years and retired from the T& R Center in Harford in 2002. During that time he was the union steward for the UAW. He was a member of the Harford Vol. Fire Company and recently served on as a Fire Commissioner.
