William Ross ("Bill") Carlisle Jr.

William R. “Bill” Carlisle Jr., age 58 of Freeville, NY passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at home with his family at his side.

Born October 21, 1962 in Ithaca, NY he is the son of William Sr. and Ellen McFall Carlisle. Bill served six years with the Army National Guard from 1981-1987. He has been employed with the Ithaca City School District and loved fishing, golfing, NASCAR and especially the Green Bay Packers.

In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Barbara Swansbrough Carlisle; children, Anthony Carlisle, Joshua (Katelyn) Carlisle, Danielle Carlisle, Nicollette (Justin) Scott and Stephanie (Dave) Hurd; siblings, Amanda (Jim) McGonigal and Tom (Sue) Carlisle; grandchildren, Taylor ()Dylan), Branden, Sierra, Zackary, Athena, Quintin, ViviAnn, Alexander, Olivia, Nicholas, Christopher, Hunter, Connor and Derrick; great grandchildren, Jameson, Colton and Landon; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.  Bill was predeceased by a daughter, Samantha and granddaughter, Payton.

Friends and family are invited to call from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Danby Community Church with Pastor Ed Enstine officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Etna Fire Department, PO Box 300, Etna, NY 13062.
