William Scott King, Iii

WILLIAM SCOTT KING, III, age 66, of Carson Road, Cortland, NY passed away Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 after an extended illness. "Scott" was born on Nov. 11, 1949 in Cortland, NY a son of the late William S. King, Jr. and Ellen Adams King. Scott was graduated from Dryden High School in 1967 and attended SUNY at Cortland before serving in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged he enrolled in TC3 and was graduated from Cornell University. He was employed at Greek Peak Mountain Resort and was the Director of Environmental Services. Scott enjoyed photography, skiing, camping, working in the woods, canoeing and being with his family.
Survivors include his children, Erika (Reggie Edwards) King of Woodbridge, VA and Brandon King of Cortland; his siblings, Andrea (Donald) Tomlinson of Buffalo, Kevin (Lynn) King of Cortland, Kristen (Scott) Blackman of Freeville and Angela (Paul) Davis of Keene, NY; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, March 14, 2016 at the McLean Community Church with Pastor David Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Mclean Rural Cemetery.
