Wilma Jane Habel, 98, of Ellis Hollow, passed away July 11, 2018 at her home. She was the first and longest living of five daughters born to Bernard Lemert Fulks and Mary Helen (Harward) Fulks in Trinway, Ohio. A homemaker and graduate of The Ohio State University, she resided in and near Ithaca since 1947. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Robert E Habel; her daughter, Stephanie Ann (Habel) Shaw; and her four sisters. She is survived by her son Gareth Habel of Alexandria, VA; her grandsons Ian Habel of Arlington, VA, and Steven R. Shaw of Bozeman, MT; and four great grandchildren in Bozeman, MT. The family wishes to thank Pamelia Watson, Classen Home Health Associates, and Hospicare for the care she received over the last five years. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the SPCA of Tompkins County, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 1850, or the charity of one’s choice.. No services are planned.
