Winnifred was married, raised a family and lived most of her life in Caroline Center, NY. She met Richard Snow on a blind date and was married to him August 7th, 1935Winnifred was the quintessential farm wife, joining in all the activities of a dairy farm and home: planting, harvesting, cleaning, preserving, having babies, baking, washing, freezing, etc. These duties were done with grace and perseverance. She was a founding member of the Caroline Homemaker’s Club; this group was organized to teach arts and crafts to rural women with the nice side benefit of providing a social club for farm wives.

Winnifred’s heart was home, her spirit was gratitude and appreciation. Her life’s desire was to be helpful and kind. During the late 1950’s and early 1960’s Winnifred was director of the Brooktondale Baptist Church Release Time, a church program that bussed children who signed up, from school to a local church for religious education. She also offered snacks and the simplest of piano lessons to local children; many stopped by.

Beginning in 1974 Winnifred and Richard migrated to Florida for the winter. She made many new and dear friends there and had many new and exciting experiences.

Winnifred was a member of the Brooktondale Baptist Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church (Ithaca) and the Boca Community Church (Boca Raton, Florida).

Winnifred was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1992. She is survived by four children, Virginia (Don), David (Joyce), R. John (Lucy), Calvin (Jean), twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was a loving wife and mother, a generous person and a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. She is now among the saints in heaven. She will be missed; she was blest and was a blessing.
