Francine D. Reed

Francine D. Reed, age 85, of Troy Road, Ithaca, NY passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at home.

Born January 30, 1936 in Potsdam, NY she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Cobane Conklin and wife of the late Alfis “Al” H. Reed who died November 23, 2009.  Francine was employed with Food Service at Cornell University for 35 years, retiring in the mid 1990’s.

Francine is survived by her son and daughter in law, Donald and Melody Reed of Newfield, NY; daughter and son in law, Marjory and Donald Pesaresi of Ithaca, NY; grandchildren, Donald Reed, Jr. , Jeremy (Charlene) Reed, Joshua Reed, Charles Reed, Christopher Pesaresi and Julie Pesaresi;  ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Edie Reagan officiating.  Burial will follow at Trumbulls Corners Cemetery, Newfield, NY.  Friends are invited to call from 12 – 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY.  Memorial contributions in memory of Francine may be made to Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY  14850 or SPCA of Tompkins County, 1640 Hanshaw Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.
